Vidlane requires your own compatible HTTPS Materialious server with the native API enabled. No public server or Google account is supplied by Vidlane. Enter the server’s full base address, including any path prefix, then use Quick Connect in that server’s web interface. Complete any verification requested by that server. On Apple TV, use another device for the server’s browser steps.
If a feature is unavailable, check the server’s advertised native API capabilities and update the server. Upstream availability can differ between videos. Quality choices list playable formats that the server actually provides; captions are available only when the server can retrieve the selected track. Local caption overlays do not accompany progressive playback into Picture in Picture or an AirPlay receiver.
Removing a profile deletes its saved credentials on that device. Switching profiles keeps each profile available. Server data and account deletion are managed separately by your Materialious server operator. Turning history off stops client history updates; use the history deletion controls to remove existing entries. The separate position-saving setting controls progress updates and automatic resume while allowing viewing-history metadata to remain enabled.
For a useful bug report, include the app version/build, Apple device and OS, the action that failed, and any visible error. State whether the same server works in its web interface. Never include passwords, tokens, pairing codes, encryption keys, private media or a full server log. Redact private server names if they are not needed to diagnose the problem.
